The problem with a scalp serum is rarely the serum - it is getting past the surface

Most scalp serums are asked to do the one thing skin is built to resist: pass through the surface. That is usually the missing piece when a bottle used faithfully at home does not seem to change much.

The scalp is skin, and that is where the work happens

The strand you can see is not where care lands. What can be supported is the scalp environment where hair grows, much as we would look at the condition of facial skin before anything else. A scalp that feels tight or uncomfortable is a skin conversation first, and the same barrier thinking we apply to dull, tired and dehydrated skin applies above the hairline too.

Delivery is the point, not the bottle

Our scalp and hair-loss treatment uses mesotherapy with electroporation. Gentle electrical pulses briefly and temporarily open pathways in the surface of the skin, so a scalp serum can be carried in more effectively than it would sitting on top alone.

Two things worth being clear about:

  • Needle-free. There is no injecting. The actives are delivered through the skin, not beneath it.
  • Course-based. Like most scalp care, it is planned as a considered series rather than a single visit, and it works gradually. Guide price is $360 per session.

What it can and cannot do

It is not a cure for hair loss, and it does not regrow hair. What it may help with is the appearance of thinning or finer-looking hair over a course, along with the overall condition and comfort of the scalp. For people who would rather avoid injectable approaches, it is a gentler option.

Brenda has cared for skin in Perth for over 25 years, and she talks you through what this treatment can and cannot realistically do before you begin.
